Raised in a Filipino home by a mom (a well-regarded chef in their tight knit community) who taught him his first lessons in the kitchen, classically trained in French cuisine and personally mentored by a ramen master in Yokohama, our founder’s culinary repertoire is shaped by a lifelong exposure to flavors and techniques that crisscross many cultures and ethnic boundaries.
RamenDoBo Noodle Bar is the natural evolution of these collective experiences!
Our ramen represents who we are and what we enjoy about food — global, eclectic and full of flavor.
We started our menu with Japanese-inspired classics then thoughtfully integrated our founder’s Filipino heritage and our collective enjoyment of global flavors. From our Kahlua Ramen inspired by our fond memories of Hawaii. To our RiceDoBowl which draws from our life-long love affair with a classic Filipino dish. To our Garlic Bomb, a true ramen fusion born of technique our founder learned from his sensei in Yokohama and the layering of intense garlicky flavors he has enjoyed since childhood.
By the way, the “DoBo” in our name means community, which is also our vision. Our dream is to build a community not just of ramen lovers, but of people who share a passion that good food must be carefully crafted, responsibly sourced and sustainably grown.
